When you create a Folvi account, we collect your name, email address, and profile information you voluntarily provide (bio, location, LinkedIn URL, skills, etc.). When visitors view your portfolio, we log anonymised view events (no personal data about visitors is stored without consent). If a visitor sends you a message, that message is end-to-end encrypted before it reaches our servers — we never have access to the plaintext content.
We use your data solely to operate the Folvi service: to display your public portfolio, to send you email notifications (if enabled), and to improve the platform. We do not sell your data to any third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Folvi uses the following third-party services: • Clerk — authentication and user management (clerk.com) • Supabase — database and file storage (supabase.com) • Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com) • Razorpay — payment processing and subscriptions (razorpay.com) • Vercel — hosting and deployment (vercel.com) Each of these has its own privacy policy. By using Folvi, you acknowledge that your data will be processed by these services in accordance with their respective policies. Payment information is handled entirely by Razorpay — Folvi never stores your card or banking details.
All messages sent through your Folvi portfolio are end-to-end encrypted using the X25519 Diffie-Hellman key exchange via TweetNaCl. Your private decryption key is stored only in your browser's local storage — Folvi staff cannot read your messages under any circumstances. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, encrypted messages will be unreadable. There is currently no key backup mechanism.
Files you upload (project thumbnails, SCORM packages, videos, PDFs, images) are stored in Supabase Storage. Thumbnails in the "thumbnails" bucket are publicly accessible via URL. Media files in the "media" bucket are served via authenticated URLs. We do not guarantee indefinite storage; files may be deleted if your account is closed.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via the Settings panel in your dashboard. If you have questions about the data we hold, contact us at: privacy@folvi.org.
Folvi uses essential session cookies managed by Clerk for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be noted with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of Folvi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
